COVENANT OF WEALTH #2

“Power to make wealth” Deuteronomy 8:18

The Transformation of the Mind

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of Elohim is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”  Romans 12:2

Shabbat Shalom Dearly Beloved:

When we come to the Kingdom of Elohim we need to go through a “mind wash and a mind transformation."  The only way to know Yah’s (God’s) perfect will is when our minds are transformed.  Most people want to understand the things of the Kingdom before they believe them.  The problem is that your mind and whatever is stored there will be your limitation.  If we do not have the right “Kingdom program” in the “hard disk of our mind” we will let our limited knowledge and experience dictate to us what is right or wrong!  I have had many people tell me things like “I feel a check in my spirit” about something that they don’t understand.  It is not a “check in the spirit” that they feel, but the rooted fear in the soul, the fear of the unknown.

Anytime that Abba is stretching us, expanding us and changing us we will experience this fear that says, “NO, don’t go there, it’s too risky, what if you fail, what will others think etc…." This reaction can apply to any situation where we are called to expand our minds to contain more Kingdom principles and to revolutionize our minds altogether!  That is the reason why many people have a very strong reaction when a new move of God happens; the new move always challenges us to go outside of our normal experience and knowledge and expand.  The Kingdom of YAH is limitless and we need to constantly expand with it.  The only way is humility, faith and trust.  Your spirit knows when something “new” is up (there is nothing really “new” it is only new to us!).

“That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.”  Ecclesiastes 1:9

We tend to judge according to what we know and what is familiar; and not according to what is righteous and true.  We tend to judge what we don’t know and form categorical opinions about things that we don’t understand.  For the most part it is a mixture of fear and pride.  People stay mediocre and stagnant simply because they refuse to go through the transformation of the mind that is needed to advance.  When the new comes, our spirit begins to soar but our soul begins to scream, nooooooo!

The same happens when Yahveh wants to establish with us His Covenant of Wealth.  If all that you have known is “lack” and you think “money is evil,” then you will completely oppose His Covenant of Wealth from being established.  You will also begin to explain away all kinds of scriptures about wealth and will tend to spiritualize them.  Or maybe you will tend to do comparisons, a kind of competition between “spiritual riches” and “financial riches."  People that are afraid of activating the Covenant of Wealth will actually “choose” between spiritual and material riches as if Yah is saying, “Choose one or the other but you can’t have both!”

Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”  3 John 2

The above scripture has always blessed me and has helped me to keep my mind open to the fullness of Elohim’s Covenant.  Here the Apostle John is praying above all things that we will:

  1. Prosper (financial well-being!)
  2. Be healthy (physical health)
  3. Soul prosperity (emotional well being and shalom)

This is the highest and most important prayer of the “beloved disciple," the most intimate one, the one that had his head on Y’shua’s chest at all times.  The only one among the male disciples that did not forsake Y’shua and stood with him, (together with the women!), at the time of His crucifixion!  Do you think that He would know something about the Master’s Heart???  I believe that this is the highest desire of our Master and Lord.  He wants to see us financially, physically and emotionally prospering!

So, since this is Yahveh’s highest desire for us, what is stopping us?  The answer to this is clear:

  1. The limitations of our own mind and what is “computed” in there
  2. Fear
  3. Pride

For us to be able to enjoy the three-fold prosperity mentioned in 3 John 2, we must CHANGE!  For the most part people dislike change but change is mandatory if we are to walk in the Covenant of Wealth!

The first change that is needed is in what we believe.  We must believe according to what the Word says and not according to our life experience or the opinions of men. Maybe my best friend has never experienced this Covenant of Wealth and so she will try to discourage me from walking in it because “it does not work."  We need to be extremely careful not to allow the experience and opinions of other people from affecting us!  If their experience and opinions do not line up with Yah’s Word to us, we must discard those discouraging remarks.  It is amazing how many people are led by fear when it comes to wealth.  Remember that wealth and money are commodities, a vehicle, and they are totally neutral.  Yahveh gives us power to make wealth and His purpose is so that His Kingdom will advance and most particularly His Covenant with Israel.

"But you shall remember Yahveh your Elohim, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”  Deuteronomy 8:18

It is important to realize that He did not promise to give us wealth.  No!  He promised to give us two major things:

Power and Wisdom

Wisdom, in the area of finances, is the most lacking in the Body of Y’shua and in the world in general!  We read a book recently that changed our lives and opened us up to learn things we did not know in the financial arena and to become wise about financial matters.  I am not talking about how to give more, we are well versed in that aspect of handling finances and we have taught much about the subject.  I am talking about how to walk in the power to make wealth.  For this purpose our minds need to change! Especially the religious mindset that says we can’t “mix” business with ministry.  That is a religious mindset but it is not scriptural!  In fact, the Apostle Paul was a businessman and had an industry of “talit making” (those are the “tents” the word speaks about).

Also, the Priests (Cohanim) and the Levites received their portion of the holy things and offerings devoted to Yahveh; it was to feed them.  In other words, those offerings took care of their basic immediate needs.  They surely could not go on a “Caribbean cruise” with them or could not buy the house of their dreams.  Tithes and offerings are duly given to those of us who administer the Word but it certainly cannot make us wealthy.

“For each one will bear his own load. The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him.”  Galatians 6:5,6
The reason behind most of the terrible disappointments among preachers is that we feel we deserve a lot more than we get from our congregations, and this is absolutely true!  We deserve a lot more than what tithes and offerings can give us!  In fact, no amount of tithes and offering will be able to pay for the life of sacrifice that we lead and Yah knows it!  Many ministers feel that Elohim has been unjust to them because He has not rewarded them, but the truth is that they expected the reward to come from the tithes and offerings rather than from the power to make wealth.  There is so much misconception about this that most of the pastors and leaders are suffering from “hope deferred” and hopelessness in the financial arena.

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”  Proverbs 13:12

On top of it, many are actually projecting a false expectation to their disciples that are also expecting people to give them the wealth that they need.  Maybe someone will “hear from heaven” and give me the house of my dreams or the car that I so desire! When that does not happen they get very disappointed!

We must change our mind altogether; Yahveh did not promise the wealth, but the power to make wealth; that is business and investments.  He did not promise us the riches but rather the wisdom to obtain themWhile we have been waiting for the wealth and the riches, the power and the wisdom have passed us by and it is time to catch up with them!

"I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion. “The fear of Yahveh is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverted mouth, I hate. "Counsel is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding, power is mine."By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice. "By me princes rule, and nobles, all who judge rightly "I love those who love me; and those who diligently seek me will find me."Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness. "My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold, and my yield better than choicest silver. "I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, to endow those who love me with wealth, that I may fill their treasuries.”    Proverbs 8:12-21

This is the time when He is giving all of us the fullness of His power and wisdom to make wealth!

He promised to reward us greatly for faithfulness, obedience and service:

"If they hear and serve Him, they will end their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures.”  Job 36:11

The above scripture definitely refers to passive income.  The wisdom and the power to create passive income, (that is income that flows to you without you working for it) is the key for the fulfillment of this promise.  For us to spend our days in prosperity and our years in pleasures because of faithful and obedient service, we must have passive income coming in.  This kind of income is obtained through four major sources:

  1. Being an enterpriser and having many people work for you
  2. Investing in assets such as houses and properties that you rent out
  3. Network Marketing
  4. Investing in stocks

Most people will see all four of them as “risky!"  Many will actually get really scared about going out there to get the wealth!  Believe me that no one will bring it to us, we have to go into the business arena and become the head of it!

"Yahveh will make you the head and not the tail, and you only will be above, and you will not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahveh your Elohim, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully, and do not turn aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.”   Deuteronomy 28:13,14
There is no “secular business” if you are involved in it and if you apply Godly principles to what you do.  It is time for us to plunder the enemy of our souls and enter in the Covenant of Wealth so that Yahveh can establish His Kingdom!  It is high time for Godly and holy people to become rich and to use these riches to give glory to Yah! We are to be the head and not the tail. We are to excel in the business arena!  We are called to transform our minds so we can enjoy the blessing of Yahveh that makes us rich!
“It is the blessing of Yahveh that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.”  Proverbs 10:22

This is my suggestion to you:
Stop waiting for someone to “give you” something, get out there and get it!  Walk in the power and wisdom to make wealth with no guilt or condemnation.  It is time to come out of the financial desert, all of us!  Do not let your past failures or business experiences stop you from being open-minded to what Yahveh has for you in THIS season!  He is not the “I Was," He is the “I AM” and He is doing a new thing in the area of finances. He is restoring to us the power and wisdom to get financial freedom and have money work for us instead of us work for money.  When we work for money we are enslaved to money, to our job and to our boss.  When we have financial freedom, money works for us to advance His Kingdom on the earth!

Our minds must be transformed to prove what is the good and perfect will of God in the financial arena, and I can assure that it is not lack!
